About the event

The Career Quotient (CQ) is a term that Alba Inc. has created to capture a person’s career intelligence in 2019. Alba Inc. is a Vancouver based company, focus on education and career consulting services for international students. Alba Inc. helps international students attending BC universities and colleges raise their Career Quotient - or CQ.

The CQ Summit is a series of summit meetings dedicated to increase the Career Quotient of university and college students. The summit meetings will provide students with access to business and industry leaders who speak to the key themes and trends in their respective industries. Our summit series will include summits relating to healthcare and wellness, clean energy, technology, accounting and retail.

The summit provides young professionals with free seminars of career management. It is held on a monthly basis, where we invite different speakers that cover different topics, such as leadership and career advancement.

It is our pleasure to have Karim Kassam and Cheryl Davies present on 27 April 2019. Karim Kassam is the chair of BC Women's Hospital+Health Center Foundation. He is the Co-Founder and Principal of Optima Living Retirement Communities with seniors’ residences located in Alberta and BC. He will be given a speech “Taking the Pulse on Canada’s Health Care Industry” on industry trend.

Cheryl Davies, Experienced Executive Leader, with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Healthcare, and Healthcare Management. Strong background in women’s health from strategic and program planning to policy development and service delivery. Her topic will be on employment requirement, and how to start career right after graduation with 0 working experience.

The event address is held on 27 April 2019 in Room 420, 250 West Pender Street (Vancouver Community College).
